Job Description


Acting as a business partner and custodian, you will provide subject matter expertise and support to the CEO for all matters regarding accounting, tax, ERP/CRM systems and process improvement.


-Manage all accounting and general admin staff
-Responsible for the management of the AR and AP processes
-Responsible for overseeing payroll for all employees
-Cash management and controls including bank reconciliations
-Ensure monthly reconciliations of all general ledger accounts
-Ensure monthly financial and variance analyses of accounts
-Management of company’s capital assets accounting
-Responsible for implementation oversight and continuous development of ERP, CRM and PSA systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365)
-Responsible for the compliance of commodity taxes, payroll and corporate tax filing
-Responsible for the preparation of quarterly financial statements for internal management and stakeholders
-Administration of the accounting and budgeting systems
-Monitor debt covenants
-Maintain and document departmental internal controls and policies
-Monitor risks as it applies to the Finance department and company wide
-Responsible for fiscal program management, including SR&ED reporting and filings
-Responsible for executing the annual company-wide forecasting and budgeting process
-Co-ordinate the annual audit and provision of information to external auditors
-Assist and contribute to the annual report preparation process

-Provide assistance with Ad-hoc projects as assigned


The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

-Professional accounting designation CPA
-Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Accounting Manager or Controller
-Experience working in professional services and technology solution resale
-Experience working across departments and engaging with all levels of management
-Previous experience in managing staff
-Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics accounting system preferred
-Experience with ADP payroll services
-Experience with an automated budgeting system
